I’m currently a User Experience Researcher at Google, focused on bringing user generated content to transform Google Search.
I completed my PhD in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington. In my dissertation I developed a design framework for enacting equity in practice.

I have published papers in the highest impact HCI journals including: Human Computer Interaction (CHI), Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW), and the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE). During my PhD, I was co-advised by Dr. Jennifer Turns and Dr. Jason Yip. My research was funded by the Gates Millennium Scholarship and the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship. I have a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Design Certificate from Northwestern University.
